Close on the heels of an Honor-branded smartphone from Huawei - possibly the Honor 9 - leaking online, comes word that a mysterious device from the company has been spotted on TENAA.

According to reports, a device with the model number WAS-AL00 has popped up on the TENAA, which is the Chinese equivalent of the FCC, suggesting that its release is on the cards.
The WAS-AL00 could potentially be another smartphone in the company's Honor lineup as it bears a strong resemblance to the Honor 8. However, unlike the Honor 8, the leaked smartphone does not have the dual rear cameras, as well as the laser focus module.

The smartphone's alleged images clearly show off the Huawei logo on the bottom of the handset on both the front and rear panels of the device.
The images also point to curved corners for the mysterious Huawei WAS-AL00 smartphone.

Huawei WAS-AL00 Specs
The TENAA listing reveals that the mystery Huawei smartphone will sport a 5.2-inch FHD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, the device will likely be powered by an octa-core Kirin processor, which clocks at 2.1 GHz and 4 GB of RAM.
The Huawei smartphone's dimensions are apparently 5.77 x 2.83 x 0.28 inches and the device will allegedly weigh 0.32 lbs (about 5.12 ounces). The WAS-AL00 will also offer support for LTE, Blueooth, Wi-Fi and Dual SIM.
It will apparently have 64 GB of on-board storage, which can be expanded further to an additional 128 GB via a microSD card.
The TENAA listing also reveals that the impending handset will tout a 12-megapixel primary camera and it will look to entice selfie lovers with an 8-megapixel front-facing shooter. The primary camera will offer LED flash support.

Fueling the Huawei smartphone will be a 2900 mAh battery. The smartphone will come pre-loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat with the EMUI 5.0 on top.
This handset will likely be a mid-range offering and will also support a fingerprint sensor, which will be located on the rear of the handset - with a rectangular ring around it - as evidenced by the leaked images on TENAA.

Huawei AT MWC 2017
The pricing of the smartphone or its release date is not known. However, it is expected that the device could be unveiled at the MWC 2017 alongside other rumored handsets from the company like the Huawei P10, which leaked over the weekend.
Huawei has a press event slated for Feb. 26 at the MWC 2017 where it's CEO will reportedly "share Huawei's latest innovations and exciting advances." It remains to be seen if the mystery handset debuts at the event.
