HTC 10 Nougat Update Halted, But Tipped To Resume Within 3 Weeks
HTC has apparently stopped the Android Nougat update rollout for its HTC 10 flagship, but it will reportedly resume it within three weeks.
Things have not been going so well for HTC in recent years, after it lost significant ground to Apple and Samsung on the highly competitive smartphone market. The company has been trying to make a comeback and relive its glory days, but the HTC 10 was not the resounding success it likely hoped for.

Unlocked HTC One A9 Starts Receiving Android 7.0 Nougat Update

It is now official: Android 7.0 Nougat has come to the unlocked versions of HTC One A9. The firmware is currently being rolled out through an over-the-air update to devices in the United States and has started last Jan. 16.
The announcement was made by Mo Versi, vice president for product management at HTC U.S., in a Twitter post. It effectively made the One A9 the third device in the HTC stable to get a taste of Nougat after HTC 10 and the One M9.

A still unconfirmed announcement states that HTC has halted the rollout of its Android Nougat update for the HTC 10 after users complained of bugs and problems. The statement came from HTC's subsidiary in Germany.
Last Jan. 13, HTC announced that its strategy for 2017 will largely involve the production of fewer devices to ensure its focus on the handsets and excel in what truly matters. The company, however, might also be talking about its proprietary software because its planned Android Nougat release for HTC 10 has just been stopped after several bugs were discovered.
