HTC fans can look forward to an exciting year as the OEM is rumored to be working on a gamut of new smartphones, which could possibly make their debut as early as Q1 2017.
HTC is allegedly working on three new handsets codenamed the HTC Alpine, HTC Ocean Note and HTC E66 (or the HTC One X10) according to well-known leakster @LlabTooFer.
The alleged smartphones from HTC have been creating quite a stir online and we clue you in on their rumoured features and purported specs.
HTC Alpine
The HTC Alpine will be allegedly be called HTC U Play according to @onleaks who shared the news on Twitter.
However, according to a PhoneRadar report, the HTC Alpine is the HTC 11 - the successor of the flagship HTC 10.
The HTC Alpine will supposedly sport a 5.2-inch display and not house a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The absence of a headphone jack suggests that HTC will equip the smartphone with a USB Type-C port like most new handsets. If the HTC Alpine is the HTC 11, then it could house the Snapdragon 835 processor.
HTC Ocean Note
The HTC Ocean Note is believed to be the HTC U Ultra as suggested by leakster @onleaks and will possibly sport a 6-inch or 5.5-inch display. Like the HTC Alpine, this handset too would not have a headphone jack and boast a USB Type-C port.
Rumors also hint at the phablet having a curved display like Samsung's Galaxy S7 edge smartphone. The device is also rumored to have a top-notch camera and could pack in the new HTCSense Touch UI.
The Ocean Note could possibly debut as early as Jan. 12 as reported by us.
HTC E66
The HTC E66 is apparently codenamed the HTC One X10 and will be a mid-range smartphone. It could boast a 5.5-inch screen. The HTC E66 or One X10 will likely house an octa-core MediaTek clocked at 1.9 GHz and 3 GB of RAM.
For the selfies lovers this phone could be a winner as it is expected to have an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It is also rumored to sport a 16.3-megapixel rear-facing camera.
The HTC OneX10 could debut at the MWC 2017 in February and may be priced around the $288 mark.
With HTC allegedly gearing up to launch three new devices in the coming months, fans have plenty to look forward to.
