Samsung has finally made available the Galaxy J3 Emerge, the successor of the Galaxy J3, in the U.S. for preorder.
The company quietly listed the smartphone on its website and the Galaxy J3 Emerge is believed to be a tweaked variant of Samsung's yet-to-be announced Galaxy J3 (2017).
Samsung's website listing reveals that the Galaxy J3 Emerge will be available for three U.S. carriers namely - Sprint, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile. The entry-level handset has been priced at $234.99.

The handset from all the three carriers have the same specifications despite the rumor that the Sprint variant of the Galaxy J3 Emerge may boast a different processor.
The unveiling of the Galaxy J3 Emerge does not come as a surprise as in December 2016, reports surfaced that the Samsung smartphone could be released on Jan. 6, 2017. It was reported that the Galaxy J7 Emerge would be made available on Sprint, as well as the carrier's prepaid no-contract arms i.e. Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile.
The Galaxy J Emerge may have released a week later than rumored by leakster Evan Blass, but its arrival will still generate excitement among consumers looking for a budget offering.
Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge Specs
The Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge sports a 5-inch HD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Regardless of the carrier, the J3 Emerge will come pre-loaded with the older Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The Samsung offering measures of 140.9 x 70.1 x 8.7 millimeters and weighs around 5.12 ounces.
The Samsung smartphone houses an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor, which is clocked at 1.4 GHz. The Galaxy J3 Emerge includes 1.5 GB of RAM while the on-board storage is 256 GB.
The phone is equipped with a 5-megapixel primary camera with f/1.9 aperture and a 2-megapixel selfie snapper with f/2.2 aperture. The Galaxy J3 Emerge is fueled by a 2,600 mAh battery. The usage support offered is expected to be a maximum of 23 hours of talktime and 13 hours of video play time on a single charge.
Price?
The Galaxy J3 Emerge's Sprint version is listedon Samsung's online store and can be pre-ordered for $234.99. Interestingly, the same model is shown sporting a price tag of $168 on the Sprint store.
Customers who purchase the phone from Sprint directly can benefit from an installment scheme, where they pay $0 down followed by $7 per month for 24 months.
Samsung has not intimated the release date of the handset as of now; however, customers who wish to have the smartphone for themselves earlier can preorder it from Best Buy. The retailer claims it will arrive in stock on Jan. 23.
The pricing of the phone from Virgin Mobile and Boost Mobile is yet to be revealed but chances are that they too will offer the same price point as there are no differences in the hardware specs.
